We have here a selection of four oil paintings by the talented British artist Ken Hammond. These are original oil paintings signed by the artist and dated 1989. The artist himself is a talented self taught painter specialising in marine art, traveling in many vessels painting in a multitude of styles over the last 40 plus years, he has come to make a voice for himself amongst a generation of talented painters in his field. An ever changing eye leads him to be one of Britains more adaptive artists and as such he moves in and out of styles with a commendable fluidity.
As such paintings from diffrent phases in his artistic career are strikingly varied with these paintings for sale today being of particular interest for their sombre yet hopeful pallets and immense eye for detailed characters and ambiguous scenery. Please note that I have been unable to date the frames but looking online some of these frames are in themselves valuable (I have seen similar for several hundred pound) and these are very well framed. As you can see from photos although in good condition there may be minor marks or. In places due to storage and transportation, however these are all to be expected from age. These have been left as found with only light surface cleaning hence on the two larger of the frames the backing boards are loose.I believe these just need re-taping so could likely be done at home, but I have left as is incase you would prefer a framer to work with these. I have not done any cleaning to the inside.
