Through the use of two horizontal straps and one vertical strap, the pouch could be attached to the airman's thigh and suspended from the pistol belt or parachute harness. This E-7 pouch as the two horizontal leg straps, but does not have the vertical suspension strap and does not appear to have ever had it sewn to the back of the pouch. Other than that, the pouch is complete and in VERY GOOD condition, with no holes, tears or defects in the canvas. The pouch has a functional Talon zipper, which could use some white grease lubricant to slide easier. It is well-stamped on the front with the usual AAF nomenclature (see close up image) and the OD color of the canvas is strong and best seen in the non-flash images.
Here's an opportunity for the advanced survival gear collector or re-enactor to obtain one of the more elusive pieces of AAF emergency gear. I'm a militaria collector like you and I do this as a sideline to my own collecting. Nonetheless, I'll handle your order in a business-like and professional manner.
