This is a very hard-to-find, if not rare, 1881 to 1910 figural tin milk can-shaped candy container. It has a copper or brass nameplate that reads Huyler's Milk Chocolate. This company was founded in New York City in 1874 and closed in 1964. It measures 2" in diameter x 4" tall. The condition is better than any I have seen.
The nameplate has a nice patina and the tin has no dents anywhere. It still has both original bail handles. Just above the handles is where the lid starts and you can easily pry this up and take the entire top off (see last photo). I have seen a few of these online and even a few that are in major history museums but I do think this is one of the best examples I have seen. Please ask if you have any questions.
