Rare Early Defender Oil & Gasoline Excelsior Paper Label Tin Can Patented 1896

Up for sale is an extremely rare Defender gasoline & oil tin can manufactured by the Excelsior company. It includes a patent date of Aug 25, 1896. There is wear to the label but it is mostly there.

I could not find much information on this oil can and could not find other examples. It measures 11 1/2" x 8 3/4". Please review the photos for the condition. It will be well packaged and fully insured. We've been in the antique and sports card business for over 10 years!
