Early 20th century, pre-WWII Ame ri can vintage lithographed enamel, smoking tobacco. 11 1/2" Height x 8 1/4" Width. Large, at 11 1/2 tall and an honest, real, original and 100% absolutely authentic, early 20th century Ame ri can antique lithographed enamel tin tobacco advertising can. It sits upright and its cylindrical form and flat bottom, allow for it to be placed on a bookcase, mantle, bar or cupboard.
It features simply wonderful lithographed enamel tin surfaces that have only some slight enamel loss in the form of scuffs and barely noticeable scratches, more to its front sidewall than its rear sidewall, which features the image of a soft pack of cigarettes. The hinges of the tin lid are present and intact and the lid opens and shuts freely. The top of the tin can isn't covered with enamel and is bare, raw tin. The bottom of the can is covered with gold enamel. The cylindrical form isn't distorted by any significant pushes or noticeable flat spots, less a very slight flat spot on the baseplate's outer margin. The sap green, putty white, oxblood red, metallic gold and black colors are still largely saturated, vivid and bright. A great early 20th century Ame ri can antique tobacco advertising piece.
