For your consideration a vintage 1947 Pennzoil Follomatic. The piece is made of metal.

Light on the front lights up but not sure if the clock work mechanism to rotate it still works properly. I've never seen another one. The piece was patented by Pennzoil in 1947 and the patent use was listed as "ELECTRICALLY OPERATED TIME-CONTROLLED FOLLOW-UP CARD-HOLDING AND DESIGNATING MACHINE". It measures 10" in diameter by 11" in height.
